Christine, aka CBanx, has been playing violin since childhood, beginning with classical and transitioning into rock, funk, blues, ambient/indie, and hiphop. Since moving to Oakland in 2002 she has gigged with a variety of artists, and also collaborated on several albums and recording projects. Christine has most recently been touring and gigging with Oakland hiphop group Triple Ave. She is available for session work, recording, and performances.
Most recent tracks:
"la extranjera" is Christine's first attempt at recording herself and doing all the programming/editing/producing. Not bad, eh? But plenty of room to improve :)
"Continuum" features Travis Callison on guitar, samples, and beat production, with Christine on violin tracks and assisting with arrangement.
"Haircut Blues" and "Fluorescent Orange Addict" are collaborations between Christine and Malcolm Marshall, who provided the beats and recording know-how. The tracks contains about 3 or 4 violin tracks as well as a keyboard line.
Peace and beautiful music...... ...C

A woman has strengths that amaze me. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burden. She holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when she feels like screaming. She sings when she feels like crying. She cries when she's happy and laughs when she's afraid. Her love is unconditional. There's only one thing wrong with her and that is that sometimes she forgets what she is worth. Pass this onto every beautiful woman you know, I just did
