OBIAT is LONDON-READING based multicultural entity uniting four members of different nationalities. Mesmerizing, hypnotic stoner doom with characteristic soulful vocals. The psychedelic, almost trance-like atmosphere sets this band apart from most other metallers. It's groovy & eerie yet still heavy, with a hint of eastern european touch(hungarian, polish songwriters) produced by John Mitchell and OBIAT@the Outhouse Studio, Reading UK.

(POMPEII) spiced with an "albatrosscream" from
Seattle. It also features "Sleep" & Master of
monster
riffs add the rhythm section imports groove and
blues
from the red sun.

Occasionally OBIAT live performance is filled with a
mesmerising sound of hurdy-gurdy and some wicked
tribal percussion, didgeridoo and sometimes Moog and
Hammond organ carpet for lowering the wall of sound.
Although OBIAT was created in 1999 in Poland, the real beginning of the band with full line up was in 2002 in England where OBIAT performed live for the very first time.
Since then OBIAT recorded two albums
in the band's friend: John Mitchell's The
Outhouse Studio (apart from producing he also plays
guitar in a band called Arena, Kino, The Urbane,
and with Uriah Heep, Asia's & KING CRIMSON's
John Wetton Band).

a couple of monthes ago me and a couple of friends where sittin by a camp fire. we had each eaten 1/8 of shrooms. we were listining to a cd that had several bands on it. one of your songs came on. we wigged the fuck out man. the doom god appeared to us that night and said OBIAT................OBIAT so to say the least im buying this new album.
