   About Objayda
Objayda's secret lies in the unlikely songwriting partnership between Tarn Ockenden & Tim Howe following their chance meeting at a recording session back in the early Eighties. The band is completed by drummer Richard Nash - quite a character, who always has a joke to tell!

"They've stolen nothing, they've simply moved in next door" - Mick Mercer said of their debut album "As If To Say" in Melody Maker back in 1986.

The brand new Objayda album "SOLAR" is now available on CD & digital download featuring the above tracks Solar, Bitter Moon, Teenage Fan Club & Stairway To London (see video below)

Its all serious fun!

The albums SOLAR (2008) & PETRIFYING WELL (1994) are now available to buy as a digital download from all major sites including:
Objayda

For our full catalogue please visit our new
BURNING ICE RECORDS online store
Cheers!

Ronan Keating writing Denmark..s entry is rather hilarious too!

I will say though, that the Lloyd Webber administration did do, in a much bigger way (because they could of course!) what we intended which was raise the publicity stakes to the point of exposing farcical antics.

I have watched the rehersals and semi finals, which still seem very wrong as the UK get a "bye" to the final, but for the hell of it, I predict this top three.

3; Iceland

2; UK

1; Malta.

It..s quite a poor showing of songs all around this year, particularly from the Eastern European countries and it would be very brave bloc voting that gives them prizes this year.

Watch out for the country that has entered an instrumental piece with words sang only on the last part of the tune. The singer is having a torrid time breaking through her light box made of paper to sing, could be a classic live moment there!

..
..I belief in
artgeneering...

the artist is only a medium, connected to the spirits around him-

translating vibes into symbolic shapes to reinitialize the ancient way
of using language...

the way of light and color...

without the disguise of words, right through the passage of our eyes...

to reach hearts and souls without taking the intelectual loop way...

natural formulas in an unnatural world...pure and uncensored...

awakening the visiual awareness, the centre of our inner universe...

to let it shine in the way it has allways been before these annoying
times,

that keep us away from our natural mission...

to stay connected with our great mother earth and her deep spirit of
freedom and peace...

we have to regain our nearly lost nativeness,

to stop this wheel of opression and iniquity that haunts our world and
our hearts...it's time for the rainbow warriors :-)

Thats very kind of you thanks mate.

All the keyboard work was done using a classic Korg Poly 800 and a couple of Akai samplers for "Sun", the organ on "Innovations" is a genuine Hammond through a Lesley cabinet.

I..m biased but I have to agree, as my ironic "Britain will fail" attitude would have done well. As it is, it was not to be , as I broke my back over the Christmas period and have not left the house since and had we won through, I would not have been able to attend. I..m off work ..til about the summer.

The Lloyd Webber show was however the most embarrasing, horrid debacle I have ever watched and for the first time ever , I pray for zero on that song, purely for treating the public with such distain.
Fear not, I shall be back to wind them up every year.

Hope you are well

If you like that one, I heartily recommend you buy the new Chris Difford album, similar in humour and style and he..s a top bloke who was rather fond of Sabrinesque when we did it.
I also stayed in the garden all day and seemed to have gained heat stroke, ah the joys of middle age!....
