Nashville trio Oblio circle, pierce and entwine ’70s folk pop immediacy and epic millennial indie dissonance to create sounds that simultaneously comfort and jolt their audiences. Formed in 2004, Oblio (Terry Price, Travis Vance and BenJarvis Dumas) have boldly reconstructed their sonic palette after last year’s lineup change. Now, the Arcade Fire’s sweep bolsters Ryan Adams’ desolation; the Walkmen’s attack infuses Paul Simon’s melodies. They offer both eclectic recordings and incendiary live performances, and their invitation is one of earnest nerve.
