About ÖBNÖXÏÖÜS GÄS (wants to play your party for 5000$)
Biography: From the late 90's until 2003 JayDecay the drummer and Danthrax the vocalist were in a grindcore band called Cesspool Treatment. After that band broke up in 2003 JayDecay Joined a hardcore punk band called Eyes of Hate touring around the country and Danthrax traveled south on freight trains and opened up a squat where he started a crust band called LSD. In 2007 things fell through with LSD around the same time Eyes Of Hate's lead singer Al Of Hate passed away, so guitarist Obnoxious Craig and JayDecay formed the Obnoxious Gas band in a shady garage somewhere in the Rocky Point area. We agreed that we wanted to be influenced strictly by only old school music. For example, straight E tuning and no double-bass-drum pedal. At first it was just going to be a two piece, but when singer Danthrax moved back to town we had to get him on vocals. Upon getting Danthrax we played our first show at the wreckroom in brooklyn. After that show we decided to get Michael T Gatto on bass and the rest is history. So get ready to get gassed out!
