Irish Brothers Gerard and Donal O'Brien left Dublin Ireland in the 90's and ended up in San Diego Southern California. Within a very short time they had large following and their first CD "Living" was selling well. By the time "Morning Sun" was released they had a very definite sound and song writing style. Songs like "Disco In San Francisco" - "Sarah" - "The way it is" - and title track "Morning Sun" would quickly become favorites and the duo enjoyed an exiting music career in Southern California for many years before deciding to relocate back home.
The O'Brien Brothers both live in Ireland now but hope to be back in The States in 2011 for some shows. All of their original work will be available for sale in the usual online stores soon but in the meantime enjoy the selection posted here.
Note: "Tears and Towers" a song they wrote just after 911 in honour of all who died that day can be down loaded free. More songs will be added soon as well as new recordings still in the mixing stage.
Enjoy the music, pass it on, tell a friend, blog, and please feel free to email The O'Brien Brothers...... obrienbrothers@myspace.com
What's goin' on The O'brien Brothers? Blinking reveals the true visage of beauty hidden within your eyes. Your reflections bring happiness that rends naked glass. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. A starfish's lifelong hallucinations of gelatin pools and of actuaries floating upon the foam and reciprocal ohm. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. Your hair sends forth a sheen remniscent of golden sunlight winding through shadows.
