For almost 1/20th of a century, the members of O'Brien's Enemy have been playing music together in some way.
In the summer of 2003, Nick Hall (14 at the time) met Nick Rollins (age 16 at the time), who had been jamming with another guitarist and drummer. Jamming commenced, and in the fires of Mordor, a band was forged called Atom's Eve. Six months or so later, Travis Pinn (17) was recruited as vocalist.
Having befriended fellow Vancouver/Portland band AfterMind, Atom's Eve played at the Hazel Dell Grange Hall and local high school battle of the bands for a year or so, along with various other infrequent shows where a three track demo was handed out.
The lead guitarist left the band due to creative differences. On that note, the members of Atom's Eve scrapped all the songs that had been written and eventually settled on the new name of O'Brien's Enemy. New songs were written and a five track demo was recorded and also handed out at verious shows for about two years.
After about another year (in 2006), the original drummer left due to creative differences as well. In August of 2006, Chris "Squeak" Neff was recruited in his place. This added the right element to the chemistry of the band in the senses of personality and musicianship.
Currently, O'Brien's Enemy is hitting shows, promotion, recording, and merchandise harder than ever before in hopes of making a name for themselves in the PacNW.
So if you like what we do, and we do what you like, then say hello to keep us doing what we do. Hope to see you soon.
Nature, Goulet.
