THE OB-TEST, formerly (un)known as Odditive or Ocular Irritation, was born a few years ago due to a collective compulsion for cult british space-rock band Ozric Tentacles... Playing music together and separately for 12 years, we (3 brothers and 4 friends) found a way of combining our prog rock influences, long time neglected, with our current musical orientations (electronica, dub & world...) We mostly cover the Ozrics and a bit of King Crimson and Gong, and are working on our own trax...
THE OB-TEST, est né il ya quelques années en région parisienne sous l'impulsion d'une passion commune pour les cultissimes space-rockeux d'Ozric Tentacles: trois frangins et deux potes, plutôt versés dans la musique électronique, praticiens assidus du 'Ozric Worship', bientôt rejoints par deux autres potes (soufflants) fans de Gong, de jazz et de prog' 70's... S'attaquant tout d'abord au répertoire d'Ozric, King Crimson et Gong, THE OB-TEST travaille actuellement sur ses compos persos, faisant fusionner space-rock, électro et dub, dans une optique résolument psychédélique... Rejoint depuis peu par une VJ, THE OB-TEST à joué, entre autres, à la Villa Mais d'Ici (Aubervilliers), au Chateau de Chambord, aux Trinitaires de Metz, à la Miroiterie et au Cleub (Paris)...
