Ocean Bottom Nightmare formed in Nottingham at the beginning of 2007 out of a mutual desire to make quirky rock music in the vein of some of their favourite bands: Mclusky, Reuben, Biffy Clyro and Refused, to name a few. Since then, they've played dozens of gigs around the UK with the likes of Future Of The Left, Baddies, Pulled Apart By Horses and The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and have been selected to appear on BBC Radio 6's 'Introducing' show and Bruce Dickinson's Rock Show.
In 2008 OBN released their debut EP, 'We Are Serious': four tracks of distorted bass, three-part harmonies and manic screaming.
"This local three-piece fail to disappoint and constantly deliver a frantic flurry which will certainly bring the trio a colossal fan base. Rating: 5/5" - Nottingham Essential Guide
"Judging from their savage burst of an EP, you can expect nothing less than a frantic storm of crashing guitars at ear-splitting volume"
- Left Lion
"Massively distorted bass, the occasional scream, Bad Religion-esque group harmonies, repeating mantras and even the occasional Donnas style high melodies make for a unique mix."
- Punktastic.com
"Faultless... Possibly what an apocalypse should sound like."
- Sandman Magazine
"As cliched as it sounds, these lads have created a sound of their own: beautiful harmonies and brutal riffage aplenty."
- The Mic
"You are good looking and goth girls want to fuck you."
- Diskant.net
"Ocean Bottom Nightmare deal in the kind of ribald bastardry spawned by Mclusky and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster back when men were men, and men from Ikara Colt didn't work in East End hipster bars."
- Stool Pigeon

Haha, well Kim wasn't that impressed with being singled out but hey, what does impress 16 year olds anyway? Not a lot! She's quite happy for me to go to gigs with her, it's either that or go on her own seeing as her friends aren't interested. I've driven her all over the country in the last couple of years, we've seen some great gigs and met some really great people, fans and bands alike. Being in the company of all these teenagers keeps me young :) Take care. xo
yeah, it was pretty sick, i enjoyed it alot even for a small extreamly loud gig, i was still feeling it in my ears 3 days after. did you guys enjoy it?
