“It’s really all about bringing our music to music fans,” says Andy Kropf, lead singer and songwriter for Ocean Street. “People don’t need to be told what songs to like or not like, they just need to hear it first so they can make up their own minds. We want to give people everywhere the chance to like our songs too, whether they can pay for an album or not.” Music lovers who patronize Ocean Street live shows are rewarded with free CD’s, Southern Tide Polo Shirts, and other Ocean Street gear, as well as some memorable experiences. Since launching their show full time in the fall of 2007, Ocean Street has garnered support and created ardent fans in college towns, cities, and beach towns throughout the southeast and up the east coast, resulting in radio success on 200+ college stations and 25+ Non-Commercial Radio stations around the country.
Ocean Street’s busy travel schedule has not only resulted in more fans and more expressive performances, it has also brought with it great new experiences serving as fodder for their next album. Audiences are already buzzing about new songs “Hummingbird,” “Back to Me,” and “Everything” even though not one has been officially released! Fans can expect an official release will happen in the Fall of 2009.
In addition to the radio and touring successes, the band’s music has been licensed for use on six MTV shows while Ocean Street’s lead single, “Till I’m Gone,” has been featured on a AAA Sampler CD alongside pop icons Paul McCartney and Marc Cohn, and the recently hot Josh Ritter and KT Tunstall.

"When I play 'One Horse Town' for folks on Music Row, you'd think they just heard the intro to 'Stairway…' for the first time." ~ Platinum Producer, Michael Knox.

“A clear and immediate identification with the feelings of others – A spiritual empathy …to write what we feel but cannot put into words ourselves. Add to that the ability to put these hard-driving lyrics into a musical format that hits our emotional depths deeper than even our own friendships can.” ~ Eartaste Webzine
“The thirteen tunes on Ocean Street’s debut are über catchy and provide a vivid musical canvas for Kropf’s blue-eyed soul while Kovaly’s piano work echoes the honky-tonk virtuosity of Chuck Leavell.” ~ Matt Wake, Upstate Today Newspaper
“Every once in a while, a band comes along with the style and comfort to fit all tastes like a pair of worn-in Rainbows. Ocean Street merges starter band charm with crowd-pleasing songs.” ~ Natalie Custodio, FSView
