In November 2008 five creative guys decided to share their musical interests and started a brand new band under the name of Oceans With Tragedy. They were writing songs like crazy, and it didn't take long before the rest of the country noticed them. The combination of melodic metal-core riffs and more than heavy breakdowns seemed to be working for them, and since then they've been working hard to make a name for themselves in the metal scene.
After six months of playing shows with two guitarists, they eventually came to the conclusion OWT would be better off with only one. With four guys left they still appeal to fans of any genre. Now, most will consider their music as metalcore/hardcore, but rather than letting that cloud your judgment, you should just listen to their music, or better yet see them play. Their live preformance is definitely one of their strenghts, which is something you can't say about just any band. dont expect a moment of rest when the start playing. Of course this doesn't mean they can't sweep you off your feet on EP, because they're now working very hard on their official debut. Fortunately, we won't have to wait too long, considering it will be coming out early 2010. Whether you like it melodic or brutal, they will ensure energetic songs you won't soon forget. Music on which you can throw down, bang your head and sing along: Oceans With Tragedy will bring it to you hard.
