OCEAN WITHIN has been one of the most interesting things happened in the finnish metal/hardcore scene ever since they formed in the late 2008. Ocean Within was originally a couple of teenagers, jamming on metalcore and writing simple riffs, but in the year 2010 they are a grown-up five-piece metal/progressive assault, that's potential can't be denied by anyone aware of today's metal. Their first demo 'Spells of Coming' bursted out of nowhere and gathered lots of hyping reviews, and the second release, a seven-track ep 'Leaders', evolved OW's sound into more technical, yet more melodic stages.
In the fall 2010 band faced new challenges, when they parted ways with their original singer Juho Tommila. Juho's leaving left space for a whole new sound to reform, and now the new music is set to go. The new singer (ex-bass player) Thomas Braun and the new bass player Santeri Siirtonen give the sound an new and unique effort, that can be heard and seen on the upcoming music video of "THE HEDONIST."
