| Bio | Bill Word began producing Orange County’s Funniest Person Contest in 2002. What began as another vehicle to promote Orange County comedy and feature some of the funniest comedians in the area today, has become a hot spot for summer entertainment. The contest has been featured on NBC, PBS, Public Radio and the front page of the Orange County Register. The list of comedic competitors have television credits which include NBCs Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show and Oprah!

About me:
Bill Word began producing Orange County’s Funniest Person Contest in 2002. What began as another vehicle to promote Orange County comedy and feature some of the funniest comedians in the area today, has become a hot spot for summer entertainment. Lauri Roggenkamp wins the eighth annual OC’s Funniest Person Contest on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Aristotle Athiras finishes second, Barry Weisenberg placed third and Jonny Loquasto was fourth place.
In 8 years of the competition, Lauri is the first woman to win OC's Funniest™. Aristotle placed second for the third time in eight years.
