"The Octanes", Houston's premier roots/rockabilly band. Consisting of:
Adam Burchfield (Guitar, Vocals)
Nick Gaitan (Upright Bass, Vocals)
Brian Shoppell ( Currently Filling the Drum Chair)
The Octanes have shared shows with the likes of: Wanda Jackson, Southern
Culture On The Skids, Candye Kane, The Nekromantix, The Phantom Rockers, Pep Torres, Mack Stevens, and The Chop Tops, just to name a few.
Adam Burchfield has toured the U.S. and Europe with regional and International artists (Sonny Boy Terry, Coal, ) and has shared the stage with the likes of Billy Gibbons, Chris Duarte,and Gary Primich.
Nick Gaitan has toured the United States with one of Houston's most
successful bands, Los Skarnales, and is currently a member of Billy Joe
Shaver's Band, and performing with The Octanes, as well as his own project ,
The Umbrella Man.
Brian "Chopper" Shoppell, has been on the houston music scene for quite a few years now, starting very young playing with Johnny Nash ("I Can See Clearly Now") , at the Johnny Rockin Rodeo, and playing locally and touring with many well known Houston Locals, including Jay Hooks. We're glad to have him swinging the sticks with us.
