In the last couple of years I've re-discovered Sir. I'd like to say that I'm a Tolkein fan, I've only read a couple of things; the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (4 times) and 'The Hobbit' (19 times), but I guess I qualify as a fan of his written work.
currently reading a bunch o' things.. biographies, including one about the band Love, a Hank Williams bio, and a Bo Diddley one, Homer's Ulysess, and just finished the original scroll of On the Road by Jack Kerouac, one hell-ova good read and actually better in many ways than on the road. My friends call me Oddy, but the name is Odd, Jason Odd.
Through the day I'm a mild mannered employee at the largest indie label in Australasia. Don't get too excited,
I work in local inwards stock control and internal supply for promo product.
I also work as a freelance writer and am currently working on several writing projects. In the past I have helped with background information for books, and CD booklets and box set booklets. Watch for an upcoming Dee Mullins compilation on Omni Record with my notes, as well as an anthology Plantation Gold (OMNI-124) in eary 2009.
For further reference, Jason Walker's Gram Parsons biography 'God's Own Singer,' has quotes from yours truly on pages 56 and 57, commenting on the west coast country music scene that Parsons immersed himself into on his arrival in the mid 60s.
I'm also a semi-regular contributor for the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame, most notably in the Bakersfield Sound section.

Merle Haggard
Here's Merle in a clip filmed in late 1966 with a trimmed down version of Red Rhodes And The Detours from the Palomino Club.
Red on pedal steel, Biff Adam (drums), Johnny Davis on lead guitar, and Don Holiman on bass.
And thanks to myspace I've actually met Bobby Jameson.
Bobby has the best blog ever: bobbyjameson.blogspot.com/
We used to be called "Mumrik" that was looking for a singer and now we finally found a singer and the band name became STM since we are working together at a distance of 6000miles from Leeds, UK to Kyoto, Japan. And we uploaded 3 songs now. Check them and let me know what you think. Thanks.
I think that's what shocked me so much: hadn't seen it for years and, boy, what a shocker!! Looks worse than the absolute worst 1977 effects in the original!
Hey my friend, check out Darin Warner on my page, one of your own. Im producing a session on him here in the States with JD Mannes and James Burton, Brentley Kerns, Jim Cox, Jim Christie, Peter Warner and Howard Yearwood. May be out that way before long! Best, Wayne D
Hey Oddy, thanks for the add. I already have your (excellent!) Gram Parson's Record Collection site on my friends list, so I thought I'd add you.
You have really interesting (and eclectic) tastes -- and a knack for finding cool stuff. I love the Merle Haggard video. Oh, and the joke made me laugh! Thanks again.
