About me: I build custom basses and custom drums. I have some similar items but they all have their distinguishing characteristics. I want everything I build to be a piece of art, but affordable art. I also want whatever I build for someone to be an extension of them. The client is involved in every step of the process.
Some of my snares are built using a 'stacking' process. It uses considerably less glue so the sound is much bigger than standard shells. I can make them to virtually any size and thickness. They usually are 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. I have a few out there now and everyone playing them swears by them. My friend PeteRex plays them exclusively.
My bass bodies are also built from scratch. They are built to the clients specs. I do currently use factory made necks, that's how I can keep my cost down. It also helps having a neck you are familiar with when their is such a custom body added to it. Check out my website and see my creations. Then let me know what you think.
