Sounds Like
If the Seattle scene and early metal had a baby. That's the best I can do.
"Ode" formed in early November of 2003. This band was formed on the ideals created by early rock and metal bands. Inspired by singers and musicians of genuine ability in vocal styling and musicianship. Ode is a combination of unassailable technical and creative talent. Ode prides themselves on the overall well roundedness of their music. Whether you enjoy heavy riffs, guitar solos, catchy hooks, sensitive love ballads or loud angst-ridden songwriting, these elements are present and no two songs sound the same.
It started out with the Pfeil siblings. Jasons guitar playing and songwriting soon became undeniable to sister "G", who joined whole-heartedly with personal and metaphorical lyrics and vocals. Together they began, picking up bassist Chris Ferguson along the way, who added the groove of the rhythm section that was necessary. The three began collaborating in intense music writing sessions, realizing something special was about to happen and patience would prove necessary. After many letdowns on finding a drummer, a chance encounter through acquaintances landed Tom, who jumped in after only 2 months of practice sessions to immediately begin playing shows. With the final members in place and an insuperable amount of eagerness and passion behind them, Ode is ready for a triumphant return to Tampa stages. Ode is continually humbled by the outpour of support, and embracement of a female led band by the Tampa rock community, and wishes to continue to broaden their musical message and make history. We thank you all.
