Midnight Snacker is the new chill out / lounge project from international music producer Oded Nir. Down tempo and diverse, the Midnight Snacker is recorded in Amsterdam. Born in Tel-Aviv Israel , his music stems from the early 90’s as a bass player in the rock, blues and funk music genres and progresses into music composition for film scores, theater productions and the electronic music scene in Tel Aviv and the past couple of years in Amsterdam (NL).Oded Nir is reinventing the chill out sound. As an artist, Oded is evolving trip-hop, dub, ethnic vibe, electro and the sex of the dance music scene into his own unique style.
After years of studio and stage performance as a bass player he moved completely into producing/composing music as tracks and has for films, theater such as for "VELCRO", an award winning show at the 2006 "Israel Festival" an international theater festival, and also for Amsterdam international multimedia artist R.E.L. Oded has now expanded into Europe. Debuting at the 2006 Cannes Midem Festival in France, he is now based in Amsterdam and bringing new tracks featuring vocalists , King Dread James, Heather S, Claudia Di Lemme ,most of the album was produced by Oded in Amsterdam except "Blues Masters" "Magic Moments" "Mr.Bond" "I'snt it Nice"&"In The Middle Of Town" in Tel-Aviv together with producer Tomer Ben-Ari and have guest appearance by Kfir Azulay on guitars(Blues-masters,magic moments) and Eyal talmudi on sax (In The Middle Of Town) .Also available Oded’s new remix release for Uk’s Mr. Braidy- Specific Kind Of Blues released on Peeled Tracks Records.
Oded is been appearing as a guest collaborating on bass with Chicago house DJ and producer Gene Farris for his remixes “Finger Me” for Damarckus Lewis released on grin trxx records and to his remix for kirby :”Jack Hope” track released on Revivel records and on Farriswheel records , Oded as currently joined the Holland booking agency Soulsessions, continues performing with his Chill-Out/Lounge DJ sound around Europe specially in Holland (Het Concertgebouw –Amsterdam concert hall ,Club Monza,Le baron Club NL Panorama,The Mansion) and the sunny beaches of Malaga Spain.
