The adventure began when Odenwrath frontman Zack Zuchowski (a.k.a. Odenwrath) explored his way across the Atlantic Ocean in a quest for Metal! He landed upon many shores while finally setting up camp in Stockholm, Sweden. The band originally beared the mark of Orchards of Odenwrath and recorded a 3 song self-titled demo with Zack handling most of the vocals, all the guitars and some bass, while Emil Holmgren laid down the drums as well as some bass and backing vocals. Later the band changed the name to its present moniker; Odenwrath. The first full length album entitled "The Ravencult" (which includes the rare Orchards of Odenwrath demo release) was then forged into exsistence. The album features over 70 minutes of both Melodic and Brutal Death Metal/ Thrash while retaining a Heavy Metal-like catchiness throughout. "The Ravencult" also features many folk-like melodic passages as well as a bit of a Viking Metal/ Pagan Metal inspired groove. Zack recorded all guitars, bass and most of the vocals on "The Ravencult" while drums were recorded by both Emil Holmgren and Stefan Essmyren, and backup vocals and some chorus vocals were recorded by Greger Lindberg. .... Destiny had then brought Odenwrath to a higher plateau as Zack met talented guru bassist Izzy Stormrider. Izzy's tight bass playing and talented lyrical writing ability added a new demension to Odenwrath. The two began the next chapter of Odenwrath! They made Odenwrath a full four piece performing band and played many shows together with a drummer and a second guitarist. .... After a splitting of the group Zack and Izzy then adventured around Europe for inspiration. Castle hunting, nature trails, mountain climbing and exploration through many medieval towns and villages began turning Odenwrath into not just a band, but a lifestyle as well! .... One year later Zack and Izzy found their new comrade in arms, Eddie Bloodbath. They then began their rigorous battle for metallic domination. Eddie's great drumming ability, dedication and strength helped the band to perform many great concerts and forge new ground with their latest release "Braving the storm". Odenwrath then perfomed many shows as a 3 piece band providing the audience not only with some powerful metal, but also a real show featuring sword-wielding, headbaning, and orignal costumes worn on stage, most of which the band made themselves. .... Within one year of playing out, the band recently added a second guitarist, Tuho Gutcarver, to the line-up. Tuho completes the band with shredding guitar solos, tight rhythmic riffing and great stage prescence. .... Odenwrath's latest release "Braving the Storm"is pure adrenalized Melodic Death Metal fury. The album features 3 of the best Odenwrath songs to date. The release brings about the best elements of Death Metal/ Heavy Metal and Thrash, and incorporates interesting catchy melodies, tight rhythms and epic choruses. An official video for the song "One Fire, One Force", which is featured on "Braving the storm" has been unleashed upon the world.
