My name is Jay Freedman and I am a 31 year old musician / artist, the Owner / Founder of Odessa Denial Arts & Media, the Building Manager of The Rehearsal Factory, Oshawa location and I also teach guitar and drums. As for my main music projects I play guitar, sing and write music in Odessa Denial (progressive metal / alternative metal) and I play drums in Social Cyanide (alternative). As for part time music projects I play guitar, sing and write music in 1000 Lbs Of Hate (industrial / electronica / experimental), I play guitar, sing and write music for my solo project (indie / alternative / shoegaze / solo acoustic / solo electric), I play drums in Grey Heart Showcase (alternative) and I play hand percussion in The Bill Naphan Ensemble (world fusion). I also consult, collaborate and play with other bands whenever possible including open jam stages. I have been playing drums since I was in grade 6 and I have been playing guitar, singing and playing live shows since 1994. I also play bass, piano, harmonica, the kazoo, the recorder and record my music and other bands in my digital recording studio. I listen to just about any style of music.
I am also a visual artist in the categories of photography, drawing, painting and film / stage productions. I find all aspects of this interesting. I have been a lighting technician for several stage productions and have even directed a couple of stage productions.
To put these interests and skills to good use I started my own business. Odessa Denial Arts & Media currently concentrates on recording, mixing, production, songwriting, guitar lessons and drum lessons but aims to provide all aspects of artist production, promotion and distribution for artists of all kinds including but not limited to the following:
- For musicians services to be included are recording, mixing, production, songwriting, guitar lessons, drum lessons, mastering, CD duplication, packaging, distribution, artwork, promotion, bookings, clothing, photography and web related content.
- For visual artists such as painters and photographers services to be included are promotion, bookings, duplication, clothing and web related content.
More services will be available as the company grows.

I am charismatic, very funny, attractive, brutally honest to the point that it gets me in trouble sometimes, intelligent and romantic. My favorite things in the world are love, music, film, food, laughter and great conversation.
My whole family except me was born in Montreal, I was born in Toronto, so I am fluent in English and French. The strange part is that I am the only one in my family that is fluent in French even though I was born in Toronto. I am also a huge movie buff. I have a fascination with people, our psychology I suppose. We are so complex and difficult to understand, I find it so interesting to try. I also have a fondness for women, hehe, and other musicians/artists/movie buffs.
