Our founders, J-Reel and The Product, envisioned a place where artistry was paramount and fair treatment was abundant. While looking into various labels with hopes of signing a recording deal, they were shocked and appalled at what they found. Artists were merely tools used to fatten the pockets of the booming music business. It was becoming apparent; there was not a recording label for them. Thus On Da Grind (ODG) Records was born.
>At that time the goal was to maintain a standing as independent artists to keep control of the music, music rights, and creative process. Such a thing was unheard of, until now. Founded on the premise of fair business dealings, respect for artists, and respect for music; ODG Records is blazing a new path in the music industry.
