My 'Top Friends' are partly a mental & musical reference of artists' which I believe have a good & constructive attitude towards music and especially what can expressed through it... Some of them are simply personal friends and other closer acquaintances - things I'm more or less involved in.
Could you please tell me something about yourself/your thing if you send a friend request? I have nothing against having hundreds of friends but it'd be kind to have at least some kind of 'connection' - if not a musical then a mental one. I don't mean you'd necessarily have to send a long message or comment etc. but it would be great if there's some kind of reference between you and me.
Sounds Like
nature, trees, funny shaped clouds that look like the many faces of everything, rainbows, day, night, darkness, light, distant airplanes, abandoned buildings, trains, rain, sunshine, birds flying across a clear sky, snow falling slowly, trash cans, random objects that make one think, hope, believing, silence, emptiness, distance, space, ideas in general, genuine smiles & tears, questions regarding god's existence, the way that the same things (those buildings there, these objects in this room) seem close and distant depending on how you feel about the world and the universe, all possible worlds you can imagine to exist and which in this sense do become reality, memories from times that can never come back (so it's pretty nostalgic), kindness, love, justice, the strive for understanding the entity of it all
I've been making odkid songs with minimal equipment at home since 2001.
odkid was freakbient, dark ambient, lo-fi-sound & experimental. The recent music is more varied and more slow, more warmer and optimistic too. Lo-fi still somewhat applies. The thing's going more and more towards ambience, simple melodies and minimalistic structures.
I've done singer-songwriter stuff: in English as O'Joe and just recently in Finnish as Otto V. that's found here.
Projects with other people(some of them)
I play bass, acoustic guitar and sing in my good friend Lauri's (he's on my top friends) band the Sun Machine and we have an instrumental psychfolk/ambient duo with Lauri too, a synonym of the Sun Machine: the Solar Apparatus
I play bass in my cousin Drowsy's record Snow on Moss on Stone (released by FatCat Records) and in some of Drowsy's gigs and other songs.
Shake your bon-bon, there's a new Bon Jouni song called Game Over available for download and streaming!! Enjoy it, love it, hate it, comment it, leave it, but check it out!
Thanks a lot to you...for adding us and for the nice comment...it' s a pleasure to have good musicians and friends like you.....for sure.......bye for now .
