Ben Marble, M.D. and Chris Cave, M.D. grew up together and played music together during college writing/recording the first dR. O album "The Diary of Clone 9" which they released back in 1999. dR. O did really well on the Gulf Coast scene receiving airplay on numerous FM stations eventually leading to
listeners in over 100 COUNTRIES around the world with more 1 songs(26) on MP3.COM than any other band on the planet. This lead to YAHOO INTERNET LIFE magazine labeling dR. O as the "SUPERGROUP OF CYBERSPACE". Due to their 'day jobs' as physicians Ben and Chris were happy with the success but then the major record labels shut mp3.com down via lawsuits. Chris decided to move to Navarre, Fl. to go surfing all the time making it impossible to continue with dR. O. But Ben wasn't read to quit and so dR. O continued on with Ben at the helm as primary songwriter/guitarist/lead vocalist. Ben recruited numerous local musicians to keep the 'band' rolling along and so dR. O performed in the " September Concert" in NYC on 091102, 091103, and 091104. Ben also staged a 1 man protest at the United Nations 1 month before Dubya Gump's reelection by playing the dR. O song '4 MORE WARS". On 090805 Ben made international headlines when he quoted The Dick Cheney to The Dick Cheney when he said "Go Fuck Yourself Mr. Cheney" on live international TV. This led to Ben being featured in Spike Lee's "When The Levees Broke" and also Rolling Stone proclaimed Ben's words as "The best televised soundbite of the year!" dR. O was one of the very last bands to perform at CBGB's in NYC one month prior to it's closing! dR. O has also played shows with Black Sabbath, Queensryche, Alice Cooper, Kittie, Stabbing Westward, Days of the New, STP, Godsmack, etc. dR. O was also honored to be asked to perform the GO F*CK YOURSELF MR. CHENEY song in front of the WHITE HOUSE on 091107! dR. O finally signed the proverbial 'record deal' with Sounds of America records (S.O.A.) in 2006. It has been 3 years in the making but I do effectively promise that dR. O will be releasing "THE REAL AMERICAN IDOL" album sometime in 2009!!! dR. O's future plans include getting a "gold record", winning a Grammy award, having listeners in every single country on the planet, and writing/recording/performing lots of great new songs for many years to come!
