Influences
The drone on Fripp and Eno's "Heavenly Music Coperation". Robbie Krieger's lead guitar solo in "When the Music's Over." Randy California's lead in "The Girl in Your Eye." George Harrison's "Wah-Wah." The ending fade out on the first part of Tangerine Dream's "Rubycon." Bloodrock's jam on "Breach of Lease". Keith Jarrett's "Koln Concert". Popol Vuhs soundtrack album "Nosferatu". Nat King Cole's album "The Very Thought Of You". Johnny River's cover of "Maybelline. Brian Eno's "Apollo", "Thursday Afternoon" and "Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)". Mike Oldfield's "Tubilar Bells". Schoenberg's "Verklarte Nacht". The second movement of Mahler's second symphony "The Resurrection". The Strangler's "Turn the Centuries, Turn". Bil Nelson "The Summer Of God's Piano", Glenn Buxton lead's on all the Alice Cooper albums he played on. Everything I have ever listened to produced or recorded by Bob Ezrin, Martin Birch and Tony Visconti. And I could go on and on and on.
Sounds Like
Long, 4-5 hours per disc. So, forget about time. No drums, no vocals. It's like being in the back of the casino playing draw poker machine until 5 am. Like the very ending of a heavy metal song when it fades out and the singer passes out and the drummer goes to get a beer and the guitar player leaves his amp on and it feedbacks. Everyone that stays up late playing games or surfing the net or reads or draws or colors or does cross-word puzzles or any puzzle for that matter. I wanted to do music that didn't end. I was tired of the switching, tired of "what should I put on next?" emptiness. If I have to drive/travel for five hours, I want it to last. If I'm at work, and I put on a disc, I don't want to have to think about changing it before lunchtime. If I am at home reading a book, I don't want to have to get up if the book gets really good. Oenyaw is about not being disturbed. Oenyaw is about being alone, bored, nothingness, and enjoying it.
"I like to draw." Music as an art form encompasses two dimensions, the space in which the music is being heard as the displacment of air in an occupied area, and the time of duration of the music. I consider my music to be drawings. Sketches of events or emotions, structered graphic drawings based on formulas, illustrations to accompany stories or events.
OENYAW(the person)A bored analytical chemist. The person who does math in his dreams. The guy with narcolepsy that is really pissed that the entertainment world looks at his condition as a joke. An old man who grew up listening to everything from romantic classical to thrash metal to 50's heroin jazz to 60's acid rock. And found out after all that time that the only thing I really wanted to do was sit out in the woods with an electric guitar and go "!"
Previous experience: Bands (Gothic Playground, Dream Deferred, No Say No, and others that never did anything). After years of attempting to do music that would excite people, I decided to do music that would accompany a good nights sleep.

Si c'est trop loin de chez vous, si vous avez mieux a faire, si sortir vous fait peur... Découvrez la vidéo de Jack Dupon presque en live lors d'un concert privé filmé sur Clermont-1ère en octobre 2008...
It can be so tempting to just go through the motions sometimes... especially when you're living a dream... or (in the oh too common scenario) dreaming about chasing your dreams while chasing the means to acquire them... or the next best thing... or maybe just anything…
Yes, I know that we are tried and tired, notwithstanding all the hope that's been goin' around. Yes, I know that we are searching for an intangible something meaningful to do... the next stage in human evolution maybe… revolution... but without the circles.... hoping to enjoy that sacred cycle in the pursuit of happiness.
...how about finishing what we've started?
Each one: get up, and make it happen; be your own Obama.
