From humble beginnings busking on a bridge over the River Thames and first playing the Art College bar in Edinburgh, i said yes (ISY) have since taken their upbeat folk-pop to many corners of the UK, playing in London, Oxford, Bristol, and at various festivals. 2008 saw ISY being played on XFM and 6music, featured on the XFM new music podcast and being included in the line-ups of festivals such as Offset, Green Man Fayre and Hidden Festival. 2009 has seen more radio plays on BBC Introducing and a few more festivals, including the Pewsey Music Festival, the BBC Introducing Stage at the Swindon Shuffle and the upcoming Linkylea Festival in Scotland.
ISY spent New Year 08/09, and some of Sept 09, recording with the brilliant Joe Robertson in Edinburgh. Without Joe's patience and brilliance, they'd be but a shadow of the recordings that they are now.
The very talented professional photographer, Tina Hillier, recently (and very generously) gave up some of her time to take some photos of us.
We also owe our thanks to Jack Storey who took some great black & white photos of us at The Allotment, which you can see on this page.
All the wonderful graphics on this page, (and the lovely music video) were made by the most excellent Fiona Storey (graphic designer extraordinaire)
The black and white photographs found on the left hand side of this page were taken by the talented Laurence Callaghan, and for the very colourful photos of us playing at the Ansun Rooms in Bristol we are very grateful to Nikita Winayak.

"I don’t like stuff like this, right, no deal… before even the singing come in, that’s just so annoying."
