30th December 2009 - UPDATE

 First off I hope you all had a very very very good Christmas if you celebrated it, I hope everyone got exactly what they wanted, and if your Serbian I wish you a good Christmas on the 7th January. Tomorrow is New Years Eve which to me means a great night out, so I thought we would update you now with a new site because I feel my liver will be hurting in the soon days to come.

As you can see we have a new layout up, and with this comes many changes here at Life Burns Records, As you know we have had some staff changes this can only make our label into a better brand in our eyes. We will no longer be a pure metal label and we have been looking at acts from Urban to Indie.

Sean Crocker and Daniel Monroe join the staff both with experience in music and media and we look to them to stand side by side with the staff we already have. Sean will be taking over most A&R roles whereas Daniel will be taking over most of the Live Events side of things. We are also ready to announce our new distribution and PR partners so stay tuned for that.

On signings, we would like to announce that we will be working with Tottenham born Artist Ash Future on his rise to fame, he is a very special performer who caught our attention and we have been able to strike a deal with him. Expect him to be touring in 2010 with the likes of Chipmunk and Wiley. Another Signing is Italian melodic band, An Ocean Between Us.

An Ocean Between Us got us hooked instantly, they have everything we could want in a band and we couldn’t be happier to have them on the label, we expect big things from them.

9th November 2009 - UPDATE

Life Burns is proud to update you finally; we have been very busy over the past two months and have not been able to update our page until now. We have officially moved our office from Hull, East Yorkshire to High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. We cannot tell you how much nicer it is at this location and we will be here for the next year, after that we will be moving again hopefully to London where we can set up a bigger base.

We are sad to see that Among The Wolves have left the roster after signing to the origin agency, however we wish the boys good luck in the future and we depart on good terms, we shall continue to work with them as much as we can but that’s all we can do.

But with sad news there is always good news, we can finally announce the signing of two new bands as well as a new staff member. The bands are Hold The Fort and Rain Delay. Holds the fort; are no strangers to life burns. They signed with us many months ago however the deal has only just been finalized, we are happy they have finally signed to us as we consider them one of the star bands in the pop punk scene in England currently.

Secondly, after my trip to Serbia I was pleasantly surprised to find a band with so much potential that I had to offer them a deal on the spot, a few months after we are happy to announce the signing of Rain Delay. A Band that has so much talent behind it that a push in the right direction is this entire band needs before they are a household name. We will be organizing them a tour out of the Balkans and expect them to hit the studio in the UK in 2010.

As for the new staff member, well he has been in a kick ass band for the better part of three years, he has not only a good voice but also a great writer of music, his name is Michael Thomson and he used to play guitar and vocals in Basick Records band “Evita”. We are stoked to have Michael aboard he brings us connections with people that we couldn’t normally get as we hope to raise the profile of life burns again.

Second to lastly, we have started working with a venue full time in high Wycombe called The White Horse, so we will be putting on shows every month there, this will help us raise the live music scene in Wycombe what will benefit all around.

6th September 2009 - UPDATE

Life Burns is officially back from tour, I have just returned to work after being on tour for the past three weeks with Trust Was Vital as we ventured out of England to places such as Austria, Luxemburg and not to forget Serbia, where I hooked up with Downstroy.

Speaking of Serbia, Refuse/Resist festival was a great success in kikinda and we/life burns shall look forward to next year’s festival with Life Burns helping out finically to make it the biggest festival yet. It maybe two days it maybe just the one, either way life burns will be there.

Onto band news, Kiara and Milk have be taken off our roster, they haven’t been dropped, however they have been taken off so we can re-package them for a new Cd and promotional launch, and trust me when I say this Milk’s is worth waiting for. As for Kiara they will be re-releasing old material through other labels before hitting the road for a tour.

Two New signings to note are super bands; first “Insane” from Hungary, There are everything you would need in a band. They have won many awards in their home country to be recognized as the best band in their country as well as supporting everyone who is anyone. This month they set out on their own headline tour in Hungary and we will be making an appearance sometime on that tour.

The second band we have signed are AMAZING. The one and only “I WATCHED HER DIE”, Based in America, IWHD have done it all, playing on the Music Is A Weapon tour with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Disturbed and Lacuna Coil is more than most bands dream to aspire to in a life time, however for IWHD that was just the beginning, we are currently working on a 2010 UK/European Tour for them, We simply cannot wait.

11th August 2009 - UPDATE

Life Burns would like to wish all bands and people who read this page happy holidays, I’m sure many of you are on a summer break and we wish we were but some of us still have to do some work.

First and foremost we must start with some bad news, we regret to inform that united against us are no more, the boys from Bournemouth have decided to call it quits for the day, however their material will be released on a compilation Cd that life burns is the process of sorting out. We promise to give the guys a good release and we will uphold our end of that deal.

Moving on to better news, we are happy to announce that two new bands have joined the roster here at life burns, The first being “The Wreckage” a band from all the way over in Singapore. These Deathcore Singaporeans have one goal in mind and that’s to be the next big thing from Asia and we have all belief that they will do just that, they are currently booking an Asia tour and are expected to be in Europe around February 2010.

The second band we are happy to announce is closer to home, “Trust was Vital” from Birmingham have signed a deal with life burns, its been the worse kept secret for many weeks now as we have worked alongside them with booking their Idols release tour, to what they will play alongside Downstroy in Serbia at the end of the month. We are extremely happy to have them on board, with worked in the past with All Hail The Ruin and Devil Cried Mercy both from Birmingham it seems fitting that we work with another band from the city.

We are so close to announcing two American bands to our roster, and trust when I say this they will turn heads, they are stupidly famous and we are privileged to work alongside them. Kiara have also signed a deal to release previous work with another label in the United Kingdom, so until they have been released we are holding off the release of their new album.

4th July 2009 - UPDATE

Life Burns would like to wish all happy Independence Day to all American and others who celebrate the 4th July. A quick update on what we have been doing as follows.

Downstroy have been promoting their appearance at the refuse/resist festival in kikinda at the end of august, Life burns will personally be in Serbia at this show, and before will be taking a press conference on the release of Downstroys new album. We will also be on VK 98.3FM to run a competition for one person to win lots of free Life Burns Merchandise and Cds.

Among The Wolves are to play a showcase in their home town, which life burns will get the chance to look at a band called “A Day After Tomorrow”, who have been interested and working alongside the label for some time now, they are also endorsed by our good friends Bleeding Tears Clothing.

Italian based band Milk are currently in the process of releasing their album on life burns, we are currently just sorting through the art work, the same can be said for Lights in Atlantis, we are in the final preparations of their Split Cd Release with United Against Us.

Last but not least, The Suburbia in Ruins July 09 tour has been postponed due to line up changes. They currently won a battle of the bands featuring all of Belgium’s best talent and have now signed a good deal with a management company so we should get them on the road a bit more now.

8rd June 2009 - UPDATE

Life Burns would like to thank Luke from Among The Wolves for creating such an awesome new layout for us; with the launch of a new page we are proud to release our new roster to the public.

From the old roster we are happy to announce the re-signing of Milk, Suburbia in Ruins, Lights In Atlantis and Seventh Hour. With Milk and Suburbia in Ruins already releasing material through us our attention goes towards Australian based Lights in Atlantis who are to release a split CD With United Against Us and a Special Third band. Seventh Hour was picked up late last year and will be hitting the road very soon.

As for new bands, Before The Torn Join Life burns to sole release “Burying the Saints” and expect that to be our next release, Kaira also join us from Russia who we are extremely happy to have, they will be releasing material with us later in the year before heading off on a European tour.

Among The Wolves and Hold the fort have both signed two album deals and will be hitting the studio around November to work on their releases but until that arrives expect both bands to be hitting the road and playing as many shows as possible.

SAI have made a name for themselves in Sweden as one of the top alternative rock acts and we are overwhelmed to have them aboard, expect them to do a European tour before dropping a CD in late 2009, And last but not least is Downstroy, these Serbian badasses come at you with some awesome thrash and are creating a name for themselves, they will also be entering the studio late November for a January 2010 release, however till then they will continue to tour doing major European festivals.
