Officer Down formed in February 2005 following the split of all other previous bands!! Locked in a room for an entire year the then line-up Gammon - Vocals/Guitars, Will - Vocals/Drums, Alistair - Guitars/Vocals and Loz Bass/Vocals wrote a whole set which was to later be the first album 'Led By Lies....', This was recorded / released in late 2006 by EHC Records. After playing a few gigs a mini tour of Ireland with The Lobotomies was set up, this would see the departure of Loz (Bass). A Replacement was quickly found in Shay (EHC Records/The Cunts) to step in on Bass duties and the tour was completed successfully. The line-up was now stronger than ever and in full throttle!!
The new line-up took a trip to The Waiting Room Studios in Worcester and recorded 3 new tracks with producer Jim Turner, 'Time To Break Your Fall' from this CD was played numerous times on Mike Davies' Radio 1 Punk Show. This CD helped us get a load of gigs around the UK as well a slot on the Zvera Festival in LATVIA!.
October 2007 saw us in the studio again, this time to record tracks for a compilation CD on Skwert (Choking Victim / INDK) record label Tent City Records (USA).
In 2008 after completing a UK Tour in January, A Tour of Belgium, Holland & Luxembourg in March and in between playing most weekends including this years City Invasion and the Rebellion festival in blackpool, with bands such as Agnostic Front and US Bombs to name a few we have become a much stronger band! later in the year we were blessed with the oppertunity to support "as friends rust" and one of our strongest influences "strike anywhere", this lead to a series of great shows through the rest of '08
2009 now upon us and with the future looking bright, we are planning to work our asses off with a busy year playing as many shows as possible including a european tour as well as shows with "Mouthwash" "Leftover Crack" and "Star Fucking Hipsters". We will then be finishing our album with trusted producer Jim Turner for release in the Summer
