Blackfire wurde von Namensgeber Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik im Herbst
2001 gegründet. Anfangs noch unter den Namen Mystic firmierend,
startete Frank in São Paulo (Brasilien) ein weiteres Mal durch.
Mittlerweile setzt Frank seine Arbeit in Deutschland fort.
Durch seine Arbeit als Songwriter und Gitarrist für die deutschen
Thrash Metal-Bands Sodom (u.a. mit Klassikern wie "Expurse of
Sodomy", "Persecution Mania" und "Agent Orange")
und Kreator (u.a. "Coma of Souls", "Renewal"
und "Cause for Conflict") etablierte sich Frank schnell
und nachhaltig in der internationalen Metal-Szene.
Nach einigen erfolgreichen Test-Gigs, wobei Frank neben der Gitarrenarbeit
auch die Vocals übernahm, wurde intensiv an neuem Material gearbeitet,
welches traditionellen Thrash/Power Metal mit einem leicht mystisch-atmosphärischem
Touch zum Inhalt hat.
In Eigenregie entstand eine erste Demo-EP mit vier neuen Tracks. Neben
Insane Human Race, Strange Ways, Ordered Life und Beautiful World,
fand auch eine Metal-Version des Klassikers Peter Gun seinen Weg auf
den Silberling.
Unlängst wurde die südamerikanische Metal-Szene auf die
Band aufmerksam - und auch in Deutschland gewinnt die Band immer
mehr Fans. Wenn auch durch Lineup-Wechsel erschwert, so fand doch
eine beachtliche Anzahl an Gigs statt - nicht selten gekrönt
durch erfolgreiche Festivals.
Von den ersten Erfolgen motiviert, sollten bald die Arbeiten zum zweiten
Demo beginnen. Vier neue Tracks wurden in São Paulo im "Da
Tribo Studio" (24-Spur Analog) in die Spulen gehämmert.
Metropolis, Warmonger, Sound Thrashing und Valley Of Suiciders -
allesamt Abrissbirnen allererster Rangordnung.
All diese Bemühungen dienen heute als Futter für eine erstklassige
Vorproduktion. Nach dem furiosen "Chris Witchhunter Tribute
Festival" sind bereits weitere Live-Aktivitäten in Planung.

The Band Blackfire was formed in autumn of 2001 by bandleader Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik.
In the beginning still under the name MYSTIC Frank started again in Sao Paulo Brazil.
By now Frank continues his work in Germany.
Well known as a songwriter and guitar player who already worked with bands
like Sodom (Expurse of Sodomy, Persecution Mania, Mortal way of life, Agent Orange)
and Kreator (Coma of Souls, Renewal, Cause for Conflict, Scenarios of Violence)
Frank established himself quick in the international metal scene.
After some successful test gigs, where frank already took part of the lead vocals
besides his guitar work, he worked on new song material, which goes to traditional
thrash power metal with mystic atmospheres.
There was an EP recorded independent with four new tracks called Insane Human Race,
Strange Ways, Ordered Life and Beautiful World and also a heavy version of the
classic Peter Gun.
After that the Brazilian and South American metal scene became aware of the band
and more shows were played all over Brazil. Also in Germany the band is getting
more fans. Even after line up change difficulties there was played a good amount
of shows, crowned by successful festival gigs.
Inspired by first success, a new 4 track demo was recorded at the Da Tribo studio
in Sao Paulo (24-track analog machine). The tracks Metropolis, Warmonger, Sound
Thrashing and Valley of Suiciders were hammered into tape – everyone a first
class thrasher.
All efforts serve for a good preproduction and the band is working on new songs
for a first album. As a follow up to the Chris Witchhunter Memorial Festival more
live activities are already planned, besides a video clip of Valley of Suiciders.
