BIOGRAPHIE
Formé en 1999, DO OR DIE a toujours été un groupe de scène. Mené par son chanteur et fondateur, DO OR DIE se sent aussi bien sur les planches des grands festivals d'Europe, en première partie de Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, ProPain et Biohazard ou devant 100 personnes dans un club, donnant la même énergie et la même prestance que s'il s'agissait du dernier concert. Après leur premier EP 7 inches « Tears of Rage » (500 exemplaires vendus en moins d'un mois), ils tournent sans relâche à travers le Benelux et la France et c'est en 2001 que sort leur premier LP « Heart Full of Pain » sur I Scream Records. Ils enchaînent les concerts et enregistrent la même année « The Meaning of Honor » qui sort début 2002. DO OR DIE connaît cependant des moments difficiles. La moitié du groupe décide d'arrêter en 2003, leur vie respective les empêchant d'assurer le rythme trop soutenu des concerts. Ce n'est qu'en 2004 que DO OR DIE retrouve un line-up stable, ce qui ne les a pas empêché de continuer à tourner et composer (enchaînant notamment le même week-end Pressure Fest, Graspop et Fury Fest). « Tradition » sort en 2005 et marque le début de leur collaboration avec Alveran Records et M.A.D. Tourbooking qui leur ouvre les portes de l'Allemagne. Mais la même année, DO OR DIE se sépare d'un de leurs guitaristes. Ils décident de continuer à cinq et de composer un nouvel album tout en assurant la promotion de « Tradition » à travers l'Allemagne, les Pays-Bas, la Pologne, la Suède, les menant dans des festivals renommés tel que le DOUR Fest, le Pressure Fest, le With Full Force, et même le Superbowl of Hardcore à New York. Le nouvel album intitulé « Pray for Them » sortira finalement en mai 2008 et posera les bases du nouveau départ de DO OR DIE. Une nouvelle personnalité est née qui contient l'héritage des albums précédents et qui s'avère être beaucoup plus agressive que dans « Tradition ». DO OR DIE sera sur toutes les scènes d'Europe cette année, prêts à prouver qu'ils restent décidés à mettre le feu pour leurs fans.

DO OR DIE has always been a live band. Formed in 1999 and led by their founder/singer Chris, DO OR DIE always felt comfortable on stage, no matter if it was at the big European festivals, opening for bands such as Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, ProPain and Biohazard or in front of 100 kids in a club, they always put out the same energy as if it was their first show. After the first 7 inch EP "Tears of Rage" (500 copies sold in less than a month) got released, they immediately started playing shows non-stop all over Benelux and France. Their first full length "Heart Full of Pain" came out in 2001 on I Scream Records. More shows/tours followed and they also recorded their second record, "The Meaning of Honor", in the same year, which was released in early 2002.
DO OR DIE then faced a tough period in their carreer. Half of the band decided to quit in 2003 because of a conflict between their personal lifes and the exhausting touring attached to being in DO OR DIE. 2004 saw them return with a new line-up and the loudest comeback imaginable, when they played Pressure Fest, Graspop and Fury Fest on the same weekend. "Tradition" got recorded around that time too and was released in 2005, marking their first effort for Alveran Records and the start of their cooperation with M.A.D. Tourbooking, both of which opened the doors to Germany for the band. One of the guitarists left the band in the same year, but the rest of DO OR DIE, already familiar with throwbacks, were not willing to put it down and continued promoting "Tradition" across Germany, Holand, Poland, Sweden, and well known festivals like the Dour Fest, Pressure Fest, With Full Force and even the Superbowl of Hardcore in New York while at the same time writing songs for a new record.
Come 2008, the new album is all wrapped up, carries the title "Pray for Them" and is scheduled for a release on May 23rd. This record marks a new start for the band with a new face and new strength but still holding on to the roots of the previous releases. Do Or Die are back and determined to take back the crown of European Hardcore - 2008 will see the band touring non-stop with "Pray For Them" in their luggage set to destroy every stage they will enter.

1999 von Bandleader und Sänger Chris gegründet waren DO OR DIE schon immer eine Liveband. Egal ob auf den großen Europäischen Festivals, als Opener für Marktführer wie Agnostic Front und Hatebreed, oder in einem kleinen Club vor 100 Leuten, sie bringen immer die selbe Energie auf die Bühne wie bei ihrem aller ersten Auftritt. Nach der Veröffentlichung der ersten 7 Inch "Tears Of Rage" (500 verkaufte Einheiten im Untergrund in weniger als einem Monat) fing die Band direkt an nonstop Shows in ganz Benelux und Frankreich zu spielen. Die erste Full Length "Heart Full of Pain" kam dann 2001 über I Scream Records. Mehr Shows und Touren folgten sowie die Aufnahmen ihrer zweiten Full Length "The Meaning Of Honor", die dann Anfang 2002 veröffentlicht wurde.
Darauf folgte allerdings eine schwierige Phase in der Karriere von Do Or Die - die Hälfte der Band warf das Handtuch, als das permanente Touren mit der Band und das private Leben der Mitglieder sich nicht mehr für alle unter einen Hut bringen ließ. 2004 feierte die Band allerdings ihr Comeback mit einem neuen Line-Up in der lautesten Art und Weise: am selben Wochenende spielte die Band auf dem Pressure Fest, dem Graspop und dem Fury Fest, 3 der international größten Szene-Festivals überhaupt. Die Band ließ auch nicht mehr lange auf ein neues Album warten, und nahm noch im selben Sommer "Tradition" auf, welches sowohl ihr Alveran Debüt als auch den Start ihrer Zusammenarbeit mit MAD Tourbooking darstellen sollte. Die Tür um auch Deutschland und den Rest Europas zu erobern war endlich geöffnet und die Band ließ sich nicht lange bieten. DO OR DIE veröffentlichten "Tradition" Ende 2005 und fingen direkt an überall zu spielen, wo man eine Steckdose finden konnte. Das einer der Gittaristen die Band dann verließ bleibt hier nur eine Randnotiz, denn die Band, oft genug mit solchen Rückschlägen konfrontiert, ließ sich nicht unterkriegen und schaltete einfach einen Gang höher, promotete "Tradition" weiterhin in ganz Europa, spielte Konzerte in Deutschland, Holland, Schweden, Festivals wie das Dour, das Pressure Fest und das With Full Force und sogar den Superbowl of Hardcore in New York, während sie gleichzeitig neues Material schrieb.
In 2008 angekommen ist das neue Album nun komplett fertig, hört auf den Namen "Pray For Them" und ist für eine Veröffentlichung am 23. Mai angesetzt. Diese Platte bedeutet einen Neuanfang für die Band mit einem neuen Gesicht und neuer Energie, aber gleichzeitig auch eine Rückbesinnung auf ihre Wurzeln und auf all das was sie von Anfang an überhaupt erst so stark machte. Do Or Die sind zurück und fest entschlossen sich die Europäische Hardcore-Krone zurückzuholen - 2008 wird neben dem Release von "Pray For Them" eine über einmonatige Tour mit Agnostic Front wie auch diverse Festival-Auftritte im Sommer mit sich bringen.
