So many people and music industry insiders are eagerly awaiting their first listen to Doobies Solo Album "Touche". After being teased with the Demo versions of some of the songs they realize this is going to be a unique release from a man that wears many musical hats.
This recording is the first time the public will hear a sound that is totally Doobie. From every vocal line to the guitars, bass, drums, percussion and keyboards it is all written and played completely by Doobie.
Doobie is known throughout the music industry as an ultra-professional multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer and a live performerholic playing anywhere from intimate shows to full blown concerts at the rate of about 200 gigs a year. Don't be surprised to see him onstage at anytime with people ranging from local musicians to players of international renown and jamming as a guest artist whenever asked. If you've ever heard him rock live, heard him play a soulful blues solo or been blown away by his dynamic acoustic version of The Beatles classic Dear Prudence then you'll understand what he's all about.
In amongst all of that he has found time to produce 15 Albums for other acts as well as write and record music for films, documentaries and television specials .
These are some of the reasons "Touche" is sounding unique, it's retro but new, a little theatrical, over produced but loose, put simply it rocks differently to anyone else that's around today.
