AS PROMISED -- GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN 2009! Check out my updated kingerrisson.com website to hear a personal message from me. There, you can purchase my new CD, "Conga Seranade" (and individual tracks from the CD), as well as my other music. In addition, music from the CD is now being played in rotation on radio station WHCR (90.3 FM) in New York City -- and more stations are soon to be added (I will keep you posted, of course). I will also be performing, meeting fans, and enjoying spectacular scenery (New England, Canada, and the Eastern Seaboard) on a special Neil Diamond Tribute Cruise from September 13-20, 2009. For additional details, check out www.tributecruises.com or call 1-888-361-5708.
"Conga Serenade," my first CD since "Nice," features instrumental versions of "Love Theme," "2001," "Apache" (a hit from my Incredible Bongo Band days), "Bongo Rock," "Bumble Boogie," "Enchilada," "Great Escape," "William Tell Overture" (I think Rossini would love this new, updated version), "Dancing Josie" (a tribute to my mother), "Marketplace," "Peanut Vendor," "Into My Mix," "Satin Soul," and a bonus track, "Conga Serenade." My thanks to fellow Neil Diamond band members Alan Lindgren and Tom Hensley for co-arranging some of the tracks, and to Tom and my fellow band members Don Markese, John Fumo (of Fumosonics) and Larry Klimas for contributing their considerable musical skills. Also, a big thanks to guitarist extraordinaire Ronnie Rathers as well as fellow guitar players David T. Walker, Wawa Watson and T-bone Demman (whose mixing of the music makes this CD my best ever), bassist Donald Philipps and drummer Ndugu Chancelor.
I can also guarantee that you will be up and dancing to my upcoming dance number and vocal CD, which will be released sometime this Fall. If you want to be a part of all this excitement, please contact me for info on how to get my music played on YOUR local radio station -- or carried in your neighborhood record store. I greatly appreciate your continued support, and I look forward to entertaining you for a long time to come. Hugs, King
Although I am best known to many fans for playing the congas on Neil Diamond's tours and recordings since 1976, I have also enjoyed success as a performer (singer, dancer and solo performer), sessions musician, songwriter, arranger, conductor and actor (starting with a featured role in "Thunderball"). I was also a top jockey in my native Bahamas during my teen years. Additional biographical information, a discography and music clips (as well as fan photographs) are available on www.kingerrisson.com.
The beautiful red drums in my profile photograph and on my video are made by a Canadian-based company called Mountain Rhythm. This was the first company to allow me to endorse their drums, and I recommend them highly. You can view my page on the Mountain Rhythm website at www.mountainrhythm.com/home/artists/king.asp.

I personally check the page on a regular basis (sometimes daily), so you can be assured that your messages and comments are being read -- and are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding -- and your continued support. Best, King
