Mammoth Life is one of the premier art pop groups currently resounding in the fermenting post-pop Lawrence music scene, garnering a reputation as being one of the most original sounding and looking bands in the mid west.
Mammoth Life's sparkling debut, Kaleidoscopic Art Pop, shimmers with an eclectic collection of approachable, yet progressive experimental chamber pop tunes that conjures a kaleidoscopic collage of layered melodies, multiple musical sections and an epic aural vision that delivers a mature and unique take on popular music.
Founded in Lawrence, KS four years ago by producer Nicholas Goss and songwriting partner Elizabeth Mead, Mammoth Life has quickly become a safe haven for like minded artists seeking to achieve emotional immortality by attaining artistic self expression in multiple mediums of art.
The group is currently working on their sophomore release titled, An American Movement. A self described "spaghetti-pop, western opus" about a character that goes by the name of Boy Blue... it is said, “Boy Blue can do anything that he wants to do.” It is a romantic and introspective account about the author, but also a passionate and fanciful doctrine that asserts individuality, creativity, freedom acquired from knowledge, ego, critical thinking, perseverance and drive, tolerance for diversity, and attainment… for this is to be an American movement.
In building anticipation for the upcoming album, Mammoth Life has released one transparent blue limited run 45-rpm vinyl 7” record, limited to 250 pressings. Included is two variations of songs from An American Movement, one group photo, and three album inserts. The release is titled Enlightenment: A Romantic Gospel Parts 3 and 4, which includes the songs “Disrupting The Extinction Of Distinction” {Part 3 – Ego} and “We Are Within A Holy War” {Part 4 – Critical Thinking}.
The first official single release titled, Progress: The Metamorphosis Parts 1 and 2, will drop in January 2010 and is to be pressed to 100 cd's, featuring the single, “Boy Blue, An American Lion” {Part 2 - Perseverance and Drive} and “With Sanctity, Our Declaration” {Part 1 – Progression}. Look for An American Movement in 2010.

"Chamber Pop Quintet Mammoth Life hails from Lawrence, Kansas, where among the cornfields, under the hot Kansas sun they've been distilling a brand of alt-pop sweeter than corn bread and more powerful than ethanol...The creativity and ability to look at musical creation from outside the box is refreshing and enervating...It's definitely not the status quo, but it might just be the most original sound you're going to find this year."

Mammoth Life's Kaleidoscopic Art Pop is "a spectacular piece of pop masterwork."
