What is music? For JeVon Lewis (Smoove) and Jequane Roberts (Quann), music is an escape from a crazy world, to a universe where you can express yourself in a creative way. Through music you can say things that it otherwise hard to say, you can tell stories, and express your feelings and emotions. Music is real. Music is life.
Like many artists and song writers, Smoove grew up surrounded by music and knew that music was something he wanted to pursue. Quann had also been very musically inclined as well, joining the school band, which is where he learned to read music. They grew up listening to the likes of artists such as: Al Greene, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, the Temptations, Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, Jodeci, Brian McKnight, and other popular R&b artists/groups. Who knew that these pop figures could inspire them to want to pursue careers in the Music Industry.
They met in their freshmen year of high school, developed a brotherly bond, and have been inseperable since. They decided to reach their superstar dreams together, & became Finesse (FNS). It wasn't until the Spring of 2008 when they decided to change their name to MirImage, because a mirror image is a reflection of an object but in reverse. Smoove & Quann veiwed each other as Twins. They were the same in many ways, but still different. They have recorded local hits such as "Deluxe ft. Roc-City", "Fantasy", "Mystery", & "S.E.X.". During the summer and fall of 2008, MirImage plans on recording and finishing their first album, which will also double as their demo to shop around to a select number of labels. The album is called "Coming of Age", with their singles being "My Team", "Slow Motion", "Come Hea", and so much more!!
Smoove & Quann are looking forward to a future full of success in the music business. They know that as long as they keep their minds straight, their hearts in what they do, and keep God first, that they will reach their goals. Smoove says, "It is our Destiny, it was always our Destiny, we just have to get there."
