When you see Ricky Lee Live it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement the show creates. Ricky is a high energy Country Entertainer that immediately captures your attention. He keeps you clapping your hands, stomping your feet, waving your flag and standing, shouting out your love of this country and those who defend it.
It all started when Ricky was a young boy that loved music. He got his first guitar at the age of 8 years old and began teaching himself how to play. He learned to play the Three Dog Night song “Joy to the World”. He then gathered his family around him and performed his first three minute show.
He often dreamed of playing his music with his band before thousands of his fans. As he grew he developed voice and entertainment style in his hometown performing in local clubs long before he was of age, He sang with several local bands enjoying the moment but never losing site of his dream. In 2004, he played his home town with his band playing music he wrote to 3,000 screaming Ricky Lee Fans.
He has written 300 songs and recorded 42 of them. Ricky has been to Nashville, TN and recorded his first full length CD titled “Genuine” as well as his first E.P. "Soldier Like You". He has entertained thousands of fans across the country in the last few years. He sang for 11,000 at Ft. Carson Colorado on the 4th of July 2005. A song written in tribute to our female soldiers is his first release off of his album (“She’s An American Soldier”). The soldiers at Ft. Carson heard it first and endorsed this song with a standing ovation. The director of entertainment at the base said his show was as good as Tim McGraw’s who played the 4th the year before.
Recently, Ricky sang to the future of America at Elementary Schools across Pennsylvania. He speaks to these kids about following their dreams and making them a reality just as he is doing. Stay true to yourself, set goals and enjoy life as it comes. These children are our future, encouraging them to accomplish great things is our responsibility.
There are exciting events in the future for Ricky Lee. The Yellow Ribbon Express is a train that will carry a powerful message about our history as Americans. There are currently 150 city stops planned along the way. Ricky will be traveling with this train bringing his unique patriotic country style to all who will listen. He has been asked to write an anthem for the Patriot Guard Riders, a Veteran only Motorcycle Club that focuses on helping bring honor and reverence to our fallen soldiers. Ricky has just recently wrote and recorded a powerful new song tilted “A Place Where The Angles Call Home”. This song is dedicated to all our fallen Heroes.
I’m sure we’ll soon see him on CMT. You can hear his music on FM 106.3 Cat Country, an Indiana PA Radio Station. Come to his show, see this bright shining Country Star perform his own style of wholesome traditional country music, that the whole family can enjoy.
