Satori, were founded by lead guitarist Rob Mills and vocalist (then drummer) Dean Lomas in Solihull, West Midlands 2004. Satori were originally formed for a string of charity shows in the Solihull area, but soon realised after a few dates that they had a certain potential. After writing the bands first song “Drowning” they realised that writing their own material was the way forward and things went from good to great in only a matter of months.
Today Satori boast a large fan base, two recorded cd’s and a string of very successful live shows in and around the Birmingham City music scene, they have reached the final of the Emergenza Birmingham Battle of the Bands in two consecutive years, not to mention playing two Sony supported showcases in Kensington and Camden, London.
Satori have many different musical influences and have been likened to several well known signed acts. The direction Satori have began to head in, is a mix of raw rock guitar riffs, classical piano pieces and harmonic vocals combining with the solid drum hooks to create an individual popular melodic rock sound.
2008 promises big things for Satori, with new material being recorded for a new cd titled “Guilt Of The Fallen” in January (that will be available to purchase here) and new shows (to be announced here).
