Second Soul is high-energy alternative/hard rock performed by seasoned musicians. The name "Second Soul" references the mystical, spiritual and indefinable aspect of reality envisioned by the esoteric traditions... Clearly there is more to the world than meets the eye and Second Soul explores that reality.
At the heart of the vortex is world-renown guitar virtuoso and music educator Troy Stetina, who has taught nearly 1 million players all over the world through his highly popular rock and metal guitar methods. In addition, as a solo artist Troy has done several CDs and has been guitar coach to high-profile players including Alter Bridge/Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti and others.
Vocalist Scott "Scutah" Yanke of Madison, Wisconsin, fronts the band with a magnetic charisma and profound energy. Scott's remarkable voice and undeniable presence has been honed over the last 4 years touring with a certain unnamed Madison-based band, which we cannot reveal due to contractual obligation. Educated guesses, however, are welcome!
Master drummer Eddie Shapanski rules the grooves... sometimes with straight up power, at other times with complex interplays well beyond that of typical rock drummer faire. His side project is progressive powerhouse Dimension X, on Unicorn Records.
Holding it all together on the low end is Ryan Loehe's solid bass technique. Formerly of progressive power metal band B.E.N.T., Ryan shared the stage with Eddie in that band as well.
Second Soul is now in the studio preparing their 2009 debut album release.
