Why am I here? The reason why I started this MySpace profile is because I was busy treading water on the Internet, having fun creating information products, running an Ebay shop and selling some Ebooks but I knew there was no consistency in what I was doing, some months I would make money, the next I wouldn't for no obvious reasons. It just lacked something.

I worked hard to get here: I knew several years ago, even though I helped run a traditional bricks and mortar business offline for over twelve years, with a turnover in excess of half a million pounds that the net profits being generated were NEVER going to allow us to reach our goal of living in Florida and travelling the world first class. Small business owners will never tell you the truth about running your own business because for most of them it is too painful to admit to themselves

STAFF : get paid more than they do

PREMISES: cost tens of thousands of dead money

CUSTOMERS: complain, whinge and discount themselves YOUR profits for no reason whatsoever

PROFITS : They suck!

I am determined: Less than one year ago I set out to learn how to earn an income online so that I could pick up my laptop and take my income and my business with me wherever I happened to be in the world. A business that was so flexible that it would grow even when I took a vacation or decided to stay longer than just two weeks of the year in an exotic location.

And THAT is the reason why I created this MySpace profile because I want to meet, network, and give back to other like minded entrepreneurs who are stuck in the same situation just like I was ... and hopefully my story can inspire you to discover a better alternative just like I did to "hoping" you are doing the right things to create an online wealth generating business that you can start from home, become your own boss and come and say hello to me in person when you visit Florida in the future.

I am committed to striving and pursuing the best in life :I'm originally from Cornwall, in the days when the closest thing we got to "London" was the Radio One Roadshow and the only band that "toured" Cornwall were the Rubettes! So beautiful as Cornwall IS I always knew I was destined for travelling, I'm a Sagittarian after all so I wanted to see the world.

My first job was in a bank and then one summer I met "a tourist" from Shropshire (where? I had never even heard of it) and within six months I had moved to be with the man who has now been my husband for over 25 years, Pete. (aaaahhhh )

We've seen the dream up close : We have seen places all over the world, places such as Paris, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Barcelona, Monaco, Nice, Palma, Sardinia, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Malta, Mauritius, The Maldives, Dubai, Toronto and of course Florida (over a dozen times!) ... I am a big believer in DO NOT TASTE what you don't want more of ... TOO LATE! The world is an amazing place and travelling is exciting, especially when you don't have to queue in economy and stop in 3 star hotels. It's much more fun to head upstairs or turn left when you enter the plane and have hotel suites not rooms.

We are passionate about making it happen :We have always shared the same goals and vision, every step of the way and we TRY to participate in the same kind of sports, the only thing is Pete drives a golf ball 300 yards, mine only seem to trickle 100 yards, he hates anything red (he is a Tottenham fan) but I support Manchester United (yes I have been to Old Trafford and yes I have seen David Beckham play.) Pete sleeps while tennis is on and I love the game -- see we are the same but different!

School of hard knocks: We ran a bricks and mortar business for two years longer than we should have, and in the end our hearts left the business and despite the gasps of people around us we closed the doors when it had all become less profitable, less fulfilling and ultimately NOT the vehicle that would take us to our future goals. The small business model is simply NOT what you believe it to be or what it APPEARS to be.

We even tried a UK based network marketing opportunity hoping that we could find an escape route, a way out of the drudgery of running that business, it had sucked every breath out of us both.

For a couple of years we took some time out, we tried the JOB route (Sales Consultants), just to see what it was like to have someone else put money into your bank account in exchange for your time but you can tell that a job is NEVER going to get you those goals, you know the ones .. THE BIG ONES, the lifestyle, the time and money freedom that only your own business and passive income can give you.

Who values your talents, your skills ? If you are a super star salesperson stuck in a job being paid what your employer thinks you are worth, or you are a frustrated small business owner who deep down KNOWS that the golden days of six year figure profits are long behind you and the enjoyment of what you thought was your route to freedom (having your own business) is not quite matching your expectations then you know what? You are just like me!

You deserve something better, you have been loyal to your business, your customers, your family for years and yet you still want the dream : You see here is the amazing thing I see every day, small business owners and indeed network marketers HAVE to be multi skilled, they need to be everything from the janitor to the marketing expert because most of the time they can't afford to outsource any of the work from the net profits they generate. Yet with all those skills, all that effort, all the heartache and blood sweat and tears they rarely experience any kind of freedom or quality time with their loved ones because they have to put the business first. The craziest part is when you PAY other people MORE money than YOU pay YOURSELF!

You have discipline : I was disciplined enough to get out of bed every morning, switch on those boring morning TV shows to cheerfully greet my staff and my customers on time no matter how I really felt. I even gave up Sundays, holidays and weekends JUST to make sure the showroom was open and bright and cheerful. In the 25 minute rat race commute every day, full of drivers who seem to be clueless at roundabouts and find 90 mph too slow, I used to play D-ream's "Things Can Only Get Better" on the Way to Work and "I'm a Survivor" by Destiny's Child on the way home.They all thought I lead the high life nobody knew I had been diagnosed with high blood pressure aged just 32.

You are doing your very best : In every winter quarter when everyone was looking forward to Christmas, I was dreading it as the cash dried up so quickly with the seasonal downturn, the Vat Quarter was always late at the end of December, Christmas spirit became harder and harder to find each year.

You are successful in the eyes of others : The weirdest part is when people looked at the big house set in two acres of garden (with mortgage) that you live in, the three cars on your drive (on finance) and that you RUN your own business (with overdraft) they just ASSUME you are a MILLIONAIRE! In fact there is a good reason the self employed business owner pay less taxes.. they usually do not make much money.

If you want more out of life, you need to look outside the box: In 2004, when we visited Florida, we started our exit plan from our restrictive home based business that would create a new flexible business that we could take on a laptop with us that would provide income that allowed us to work from anywhere in the world.

In January 2005, I wrote an Ebook based on a formula I discovered to get us out of the middle class rat race we'd found ourselves deeply entrenched in and Control Freak a Recipe for Debt Freedom was born. It was released over a year later and became recommended reading by a national newspaper and then I realised that the Internet was the ONLY type of business that could take us to our life in Florida, not just for us, but for Gem & Carl and our future grandchildren too.

Dig deep and you will find the strength : It took over two years to finalise the closing of the bricks and mortar business and at last we are free from the constant phone calls, demands for our time and our money and do you what the BEST part is, it's the PEACE in the morning.

In 2007 we came across THE SECRET and our lives have never really been the same since, it would be hard to recognise us as the same people that used to run that business for all those years.

Starting over, the next phase : Every morning since that day I wake up to PEACE and HAPPINESS. Fast forward to now and for the first six months of 2008 I have been learning the basics of the Internet and operating at times by what I call The Law of Distraction. When you start out online, it is like standing in the middle of a country the size of the United States with everyone shouting "Buy This One!" at you AT THE SAME TIME!

I knew nothing about HTML, FTP, domain names, hosting and servers when I started, but I knew if other people had learned it, then I could too. After about four months I came across a couple of Network Marketers using what is referred to as Attraction Marketing and I slowly started to tune into how they were using Internet Marketing and the power of the Internet to build their Network Marketing businesses.

The internet has changed everything : Now I had been in MLM before and couldn't get to grips with the concept at all, the products I was "selling" didn't really suit my style or my passions and as for telling people honestly that this was the business of their dreams I simply couldn't because I didn't believe it was. When I started online I was drawn to creating information products and have created and sold many of my own, but what was lacking was a strategic Marketing Plan.

The Law of Attraction : In a strange twist of fate as I began researching one particular information product based MLM company, I came across the person who actually introduced me to my primary business, Carbon Copy Pro.

You see the business "gurus" will tell you to find your niche and build a business around your passions. Well, I am a self education and a personal development enthusiast with a passion for wealth building products so I never thought in a million years that there was already something in existence that not only provided the sort of training I considered to be necessary for a successful online business, but one of the richest, if not THE richest compensation plan for wealth building products I have ever seen in one business plan.

The bonus side is the support and training that is built in to this are in my opinion unmatched. The craziest thing in the world was until I started working my way through the training system with Carbon Copy Pro I had no idea I would stumble across the one key thing that had held me, my husband, our small business and probably 95% of people back in life, do you know what that was?

From the heart, here is the gift: It's going to be hard to take this one in, because you can't see it when it is right under your nose, money is not made through selling your products and services, only a finite amount of money can be made doing that, you get too close to the relationship with your customers and you'll be treading water just like I did for years, what you really need to focus on is driving traffic through a system, a system that is one hell of a profitable business model, same amount of work just HUGE profitable pay days. No staff, no premises, just marketing and working with a few like minded people who want the same things as you out of life.

My twilight zone moment : From the minute I requested more information about Carbon Copy Pro I knew that I had found the vehicle I had been looking for that would take me and my family to the next phase in our lives. It sounds a little strange to say it like this, but I actually feel that I am part of something very special and part of the Carbon Copy Pro vision for 2012.

This really has changed my perspective of having an online business and I would love the opportunity to network with like minded people and save some more highly talented small business owners from their restrictive low profit businesses because there most definitely is a much better way.
