Sounds Like
If Lenny Kravitz was in Weezer and they took Green Day out for Chicken and Waffles.
OFFWHITE is bringing their brand of Soul Rock straight from the broken heart of Southern California, with love. The Kalama Brothers grew up in a desert climate, which drove them inside to discover MTV. And by discover they mean devour. Being from Hawaiian descent, the Kalama’s never forgot their embedded need to melt hearts; but also had a great hunger to melt minds as well.
The Kalama family is not only big in size, but big on each other. Mom taught them to sing via the church choir and Dad taught from the stage. 10 years in the making OFFWHITE has played the Southern California music scene since they were in middle school. OFFWHITE’s sound summons the diverse tastes of The Beatles, mixed with the tenderness and soulful vocals of Marvin Gaye. One can also hear the urgent pop rush of Green Day, along with the breezy harmonies of the Beach Boys.
After a short time of building a following as an acoustic act, OFFWHITE recorded a Live, acoustic CD, OFFWHITE Live @ For the Record, to answer the requests to hear OFFWHITE in an acoustic setting. Totally live, with their closest friends in the room, warts and all they laid down mostly new songs, and a couple from their first release, OFFWHITE(2003). With the release of their second CD coming out this fall, OFFWHITE plans to spread out from San Clemente, playing in both acoustic and full band settings. Remember, OFFWHITE Loves you, so should you.
