My name is Vítor Bastos and I am a fashion designer born in São Paulo, Brasil, in 1986 and I am living in Porto, Portugal, where I’m developing a 2ndbrand with a project based here as well. It is called “afilhadedeus” and does women’s clothing. Their work is colorful with transfer prints on knitwear and such, and my job is to create a whole new brand that is suppose to be the opposite of their aesthetic. The new brand is called OFILHOBASTARDO, (the bastard son) and it’s a men’s brand. The basic concept is the re-interpretation of the polo and other classic pieces in to urban sportswear where everything will be black and white.
This first collection is named “Beat My Mercedes”, the clothes are monochromatic as tribute to the photographer George Rousse, and the cuts have origin in Ted Noten’s "Mercedes Benz" brooches.
Everything will be available at the store here in Porto and others along the country.
