It was through journaling that I discovered my poetic voice. I started Journaling as a teenager longing for answers in what felt like a crazy world. It was in my late twenties that some of my entries started to take on a poetic voice or rhythm.

Early on it was nature that touched me most deeply. For a time depth in human relationships was nothing compared to the depth of my feelings for nature. This passion has led me to working with natural materials and ingredients. So I Cook and a bake, drum and build drums from fallen trees, I am a Breathworker, stone worker (walls - patios) and woodwooker framing & finish work, A poet published, a photographer also published, labyrinth builder. One who loves creating with the gifts of the land. Rocks, a freshly fallen tree, organic cotton thread dyed and woven into thick cord of rich color, Venetian beads of glass, sheets of copper, flux saturated with gold, a fallen Redwood branch. texture, color, weight, lines and shapes. I love all these things.
It has been hard to integrate my c02 consumption into the love that I hold for this Earth. In this way I have been a violent abuser to my precious lover. It is of no help to dwell on (-)s. Change is action as are words of the heart spoken through fear and brought in to action.
