About me:

"Exquisite Corps is the most prevalent banner beneath which experimentalist Ogo Eion showcases his cross-disciplinary praxis. An early proponent of the burgeoning Death Trance movement in Portland and Oakland; Ogo brings about new sounds and rhythms through the comingling of rewired video game systems, circuit-bent synthesizers, and teetering towers of televisions. The compound which emerges from his technological hybrid reflects equal facets of breakcore, freetek, and crunk/hyphy beats; along with alternately hypnotic and punishing regents of power electronics and ambient noise.
Having curated the Cacophony series; and contributed heavily to The Autonomous Mutant Festival, Bogville, Doom School, and the pre-code era of Someday Lounge; Ogo Eion continues to advance the cause of groundbreaking music and performance with the ongoing ritual performance salon Psychopomp. He has grown into a pillar of the Cascadian Freak Scene." --Noah Mickens
"Since 2005, Ogo Eion has carried the standard for Portland’s booming noise scene. Most notably through the recurring Cacophony series and his early career at lamented underground art lab Martial Art Gallery, Ogo has brought together three generations of experimentors whose incestuous and promiscuous collaborations are gaining notoriety overseas. His primary musical output lives under the names of Disjunct and Exquisite Corps, and he returns from a brief trip to Oakland with a mission.." --Noah Mickens
"One of the main forces behind Portland Oregon's Cacophony series is Ogo Eion and one half of visual noise abstractors Disjunct. His Solo work under Exquisite Corps still holds true to his exploration of sonic pulses and noise blasts that defy the ear's ability to tolerate sound. Leaving you in a deaf fury, hungry for more pain. A traveling man that leaves a trail of high expectations and insane creativity that is hard to attain.." --Backwards Records NW
"If you are an experimental Northwest noisemaker with fewer than 100 friends on MySpace, you have probably already played a Cacophony. If not, curator Ogo Eion would like to meet and book you. After several years of placing the event in a revolving list of barely legal venues, Someday Lounge has raised the big house tent over Cacophony, providing an inviting home for the most "out" of outsider industrial folk in the area.." --Nate Carson, Portland Mercury
