The Ohio Hip Hop Awards & Music Conference is dedicated to bringing recognition to the state’s hard working Hip Hop artists & associated entertainment entities. Our mission is to recognize and reward those who are making a positive and impactful difference in the scene, while simultaneously educating participants on the best practices towards success. Every year thousands of industry professionals and fans come to support the Ohio Hip Hop scene at the state’s largest networking and social event. The event is a 3 day weekend full of workshops, professional industry panels, networking socials, talent showcases, an award show, and of course the hottest industry parties! In 2009 Cleveland, OH will host the fourth annual Ohio Hip Hop Awards & Music Conference.
On Saturday September 19th 2009, tastemakers from around the state will arrive at downtown Cleveland's Convention Center to celebrate another successful year in Hip Hop. Last year the Ohio Hip Hop Awards & Music Conference was a monumental event in Ohio's Hip Hop history, receiving thousands of supportive comments and votes, and now the show is back for its fourth year. The OHHA & Music Conference is a several month process that directly interacts with thousands of Hip Hop fans across the great buckeye state.
Join us in honoring our state’s music artists, DJ's, break dancers, graffiti artists, promoters, managers, record labels, and media for their contributions to our growing entertainment scene!

Nominations begin!
Artists are suggested by their fans on www.ohiohiphopawards.com between May 1st and July 1st. The suggestions and press kits are then reviewed to narrow down the ballot. Having a tremendous amount of nominations doesn’t automatically mean that an artist be nominated however. There are additional requirements such as retail sales, radio spins, performances/touring, mixtape placements, online presence, and overall artist visibility. The OHHA Board researches artists across the state and has networking showcases in seven cities during the month of July. At these showcases artists and models are interviewed and press kits are taken in person. Go over to the nomination page NOW and suggest who you feel should be nominated in each category! |
