About me: The IWW is a radical democratic union with a rich tradition rooted in direction action. We believe in practicing solidarity and that workers, the rank and file, should run things and not bosses because YOU are the union. While reformist trade unions believe in having bureaucratic 'representatives' plead and bargain with bosses for you, with the IWW we all struggle side by side and demand, claim the rights we deserve. Instead of simply being focused on opening up new ground for people as workers we believe ultimately we are emancipating people from work itself and that we are all fellow workers 'working' towards a more just egalitarian society. Because we will build a new world from the ashes of the old.
