Origin Blood was officially formed by Robert in 1997 but was after various member changes 1999 saw the dawn of the current line-up with Robert Ahrling, Brian Petersen, Simon Niklasson and Robin Sjöstrand.
The years that followed they wrote new material and played gigs in Germany and in Denmark, and in October 2002 they entered Flat Pig Studio, owned by Robert, to record their debut album "Mr. Jakker Daw". Wanting to explore every creative path and leaving nothing to chance, the recording session lasted until February 2004. The album was released October 27th by R.A.H.W. Production, and the band promoted the album by doing live shows in Sweden and Denmark. With great reviews and many cool gigs in the rearview mirror they are now recording songs for their second album.
Rob
Guitar - vocals
Rob is "The Founder" of the band and is according to the other members the main drive. He is the manager for the studio "FlatPig".

Robin
Lead Guitar - backing vocals
Robin joined the band 1999. With more technical knowledge than any other band-member (and the skills to abuse it) he complements the band very well. Before joining OB he played in various bands. Robin likes fantasy-inspired movies, is a vegetarian and has a passion for Archaeology. He listens to: Deep Purple, SOAD, J. S. Bach.
Simon
Bass
Simon joined the band in the summer of 1997 and has since then developed a mixture of seventies and funk into the heavy base of the music in OB. His favorite band is without a doubt RUSH and therefore has Geddy Lee as his bass guru. Simons really into cartoons like "the Simpsons", "South Park" and above all, obscure Manga and Sci/Fi-movies.
Brian
Drums
Brian is an long-time drummer with skills to contribute to the bands direction. With an intense playing technique and a great motivation made Brian the obvious choice for the band. Brian joined the band in the summer in 1998.
Before OB he played with Ominous. Brian finds a liking to everything "strange" and "obscure" in terms of music and pushes the music to a different level.
