In autumn 2007, when Gray Code was laying low and waiting for sh*t to happen, Joni and Timo started recording a couple of songs with simple equipment and little effects, just to see how it would sound. It ended up sounding really good, as you can hear on the "Slowly, But Surely"-EP.
Timo and Joni thought the arrangements were good enough to play live with a similar feel and sound (soft-toned and gentle) but knew Gray Code wasn't the band that would do it. So they went back to their old project: playing as a semi-acoustic duo. They renamed it OIIO (which derives from jOnItImO) to definitely seperate it from Gray Code.
Since then, OIIO released the brand new song "Crash Test" in the summer of 2008 and did their first two gigs by the end of the year. Okieson-singer and producer Sebastiaan van Bijlevelt noticed OIIO on myspace and in the lovely Camelot Cafe in Nijmegen and offered to make a record with the guys.
By the end of this summer OIIO will release their first album, which will be an extended version of the previously released "Slowly, But Surely". After that, Joni and Timo will travel through the country with their soft-toned and gentle sounds! Keep checking back here for news, tourdates and album-updates.

Dankjewel voor de uitnodiging! Ik en de rest van de Skiggy Rapz band vonden het gruwelijk in cultuurcafe in Nijmegen! Ben blij om te horen dat je mijn demo'tje geluisterd hebt en dat je leuk vindt. Ik kan hier geen liedjes van je luisteren aangezien 3FM keihard opstaat - onze vriend Diggy Dex is daar nu met Eva de Roovere, maar ik laat nog weten wat ik er van vind! Wist niet dat je zelf ook muziek maakte :).
