Please help the Chongon school in Ecuador!!!
Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, has been discovering many aromatic plants in Ecuador as well as working in a holistic medical center. During his stay there, he has discovered the Chongon School. This cinderblock building’s only source of light is from spaces between staggered cinderblocks.
The school has 42 children ranging from grades 1-6 with only one teacher.
Lunches are prepared in a single room without any sanitary conditions, no running water & a dirt floor. The conditions of this facility aren’t anywhere near the standards that we here in the United States would feel is an unfit area for food preparation. The bathroom facilities are in an outhouse, also made of cinderblocks, located not far from the classroom.
Gary is championing the task of remedying these conditions but he needs help. He will expand the school & also raise enough money so two teachers may be on staff. All donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Gary & Mary Young.
