   OKWatchdog's Blurbs
About me:
As consumers it is often difficult to learn about and take action on adverse issues we face. As patients we don't know where to turn or issues to be aware of until it is too late. OKWatchDog fights to make sure the voices of consumers and patients are heard in Oklahoma City and Washington. We educate and provide tools to citizens as we advocate for the rights and safety of consumers and patients. OKWatchDog is engaged in raising public awareness and fostering communications on issues, policies, and legislation that threaten consumer or patient safety.

OKWatchDog's mission is to produce and disseminate timely and informative analysis and information on public policy issues which impact consumer and patient safety. Such public policy issues include decisions that affect consumer's daily lives in the marketplace and workplace, empowering individuals to make informed health choices, enhanced quality of service in hospitals, and how to become a patient advocate.

The research and education on consumer and patient issues is performed and funded by OKWatchDog, an incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by private donations from concerned citizens such as you who are concerned with consumer and patient safety issues. The Foundation is non-partisan and hopes to inspire discussion on both sides of the political landscape as to how we as a state and country better govern ourselves. We do not endorse candidates and are issue-oriented. It is our goal to provide an avenue to ask big questions that lead to big solutions.

For those of you who wish to express your opposition to the recent passage of Senate Bill 507 (tort reform), you can call the Governor’s office at 521-2342 and tell the person who answers the phone that you are opposed to the Bill. The Governor’s office will make a note of the call but they don’t take your name or any other information. It is important that the Governor is aware of the number of people who oppose the Bill and want him to veto it.
