All stories must relate to the evening's theme. Prizes given to audeince's favorite. Past themes include" Really bad dates, Stranger in a Strange Land, Good Neighbors make Good Fences.

Oklahoma Artist Huntley Durell's storytelling performance at OKC StorySlam 22 May 2009. The stroy telling event is sponsored and hosted by Istvan Gallery @ Urban Art. The OKC StorySLAM is an ongoing event. Each StorySlam has a theme and anyone can participate by showing up at the StorySlam and signing up to tell their story. Istvan Gallery at Urban Art features the work of emerging and established Oklahoma artists in an atmosphere designed to be comfortable for art collectors as well as art lovers who might otherwise be intimidated by the idea of visiting an art gallery. It is a space where the public can enjoy and understand art. Istvan Gallery believes art comes in every form, so they serve as host to Story Slams, Film and Video viewings, Poetry Readings and other community events. T
