OK King can be generally classified as a rock band.
Styles which influence the band include: electronic, metal, pop, punk, folk, blues, hardcore, grunge, stoner rock, and progressive rock.
OK King music is: Meaty and dirty rock riffs, fragile yet beautiful melodies, an at times groovy and always creative rhythm section, and two complimentary and emotional, rock vocalists.
Biography
Long time friends and fellow musicians, Florian (Flo) Lang(guitar/vox) and Stephan (Steve) Peischl, (drums) founded the band a few years ago. Due to the fact that both lived in a rural area, finding complimentary musicians was especially difficult. After many changes in the band, both geographically and personally, the homebase was relocated, and new, commited
members were found in Vienna. This proved to be the beginning of OK King.
In the beginning, the band played several gigs and recorded a demo cd. Unfortunately, due to personal and health reasons, the original lead guitarist and bass player stepped away from the band, and ok king was reduced to Flo and Steve once again. Despite these setbacks the band’s desire to play shows, both in austria and abroad, continued to grow.
So, the search for new musicians began anew and ended with the band being stronger than ever. OK King has finally found the perfect line up: Flo & Hannes on vocals, Linus on bass and Craig on lead guitar, Flo on rhythm guitar and Stephan on drums the band has been completed. OK King is dedicated to writing new music as well as developing and progressing as a group of musicians.
