I graduated from Vashon HS in St. Louis in 1938 and Lemoyne-Owen College in Memphis in 1942, and spent the next 30 years in the US Army. My next tour of duty was as a teacher at Judson HS beginning in 1972 before my ultimate tour of duty began in 1988. In my spare time I worked as an MC at the Fort Sam NCO Club, and when requested at Rocket Football games during critical moments. Those Rockets could still use an occasional HEY! HEY! from anyone willing and able to lead them.
